Prompts #6 – No Cliffhangers

Every day, The Daily Post posts a prompt on their website – a situation or little idea you can use as inspiration to write. Yesterday’s prompt was no cliffhangers, and this is my interpretation.

No Cliffhangers
Write a post about the topic of your choice, in whatever style you want, but make sure to end it with “…and all was well with the world.”

Once upon a time there was a young woman. She liked her life very much. She had a nice job, she had a few very good friends, she loved her parents and she had the best of housemates: her cat Jojo. Her name was Susie.

Prompts #3 – Handwritten

Every day, The Daily Post posts a prompt on their website – a situation or little idea you can use as inspiration to write. Today’s prompt is handwritten, and this is my interpretation.

Handwritten
When was the last time you wrote something by hand? What was it?

If you want me to be precise, the last time I wrote something by hand was yesterday evening, when I wrote down a few things in my agenda that I needed to remember. If you want me to take the word ‘write’ more poetically, the last time I wrote something was two weeks ago, when I wrote a letter to a friend I hadn’t seen in a very, very long time. (To be honest, I haven’t had the courage yet to actually send the letter, but still. I wrote it.) If you want to know the last time I wrote a LOT, that was when I made my final exams, May this year.

Libre theme – A review

Wow, I haven’t even properly started with the habit of blogging daily using prompts, or I have broken it already. Today’s prompt, ‘retrospectively funny’, didn’t give me much to write about, since I can’t really remember the kind of moments they are looking for.

So instead, I’ll do some complaining. I just installed a new theme for my blog, ‘Libre’, and I’m already looking for an other one. Initially I really liked the theme, and I guess I still do, but there are just too many things that annoy me. Even after editing one post so it looks nicer with the new theme…
